Job summary:
This role leads the structured execution of national site-consolidation programs by defining phased roadmaps, governing cross-functional squad delivery, and ensuring safe, compliant, and performance-driven migration and asset-optimization activities aligned with engineering standards and operational continuity objectives.
Main Accountabilities:
- Participate in the development of the general department's business plans according to the department objectives.
- Achieve the assigned objectives through the setting of individual objectives, managing performance, and developing and motivating staff.
- Recommend the budget required from the section and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring unit activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
- Ensure the effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned activities.
- Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Tawal's requirements, policies and quality standards.
- Develop the consolidation roadmap by defining phases, milestones, sequencing, and squad composition for each consolidation wave.
- Manage and assign cross-functional squad teams to execute consolidation programs in alignment with approved engineering and commercial objectives.
- Supervise end-to-end migration activities including power, backhaul, and equipment transitions to ensure minimal service disruption and adherence to methodologies.
- Supervise dismantling, relocation, and asset-reuse activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant field execution.
- Monitor squad performance against approved timelines, budgets, and KPIs and guide corrective actions to maintain on-target delivery.
- Analyse operational and execution risks and determine mitigation plans through proactive planning and stakeholder coordination.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during all execution activities.
- Maintain structured execution documentation, progress tracking, and consolidated reporting for each consolidation wave.
- Gather lessons learned and develop standardized enhancements to improve delivery playbooks and execution methodologies.
- Facilitate coordination between Engineering, Deployment, and Operations teams to optimize execution efficiency and resource utilization.
- Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Line Manager in order to meet Section/Department objectives.
Managerial Accountabilities:
- Participate in formulating TAWAL's strategy and cascade it to ensure each functional area has its objectives and KPIs
- Manage TAWAL's employees; lead by example to ensure good performance and achieving the functional area's KPIs and objectives
- Assist in financial budgeting through providing insights and recommendations to the respective functional area.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum experience:
8 years of experience.
