Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Shop Drawing Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior Shop Drawing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and modifying such drawings to meet project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with project teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated during implementation, resolving technical discrepancies, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards during execution.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in technical drawing and drafting, including expertise in AutoCAD and other drafting software
• Strong understanding of construction design standards, building codes, and architectural principles
• Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to execute and resolve technical challenges
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills to manage complex project workflows
• Ability to work under pressure while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in deliverables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and propose effective solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in shop drawing preparation, preferably in construction or architectural projects
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and safety standards
• Professional fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
