Specialist, Logistics & Freight Forwarding

Job Summery:

Expediting specialist is responsible for expediting shipments (Air, Sea, Road, and Courier) and negotiating pricing for the company. This includes working with carriers, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as experience in expediting and pricing.

Job Description:

Negotiate pricing for shipping services by comparing rates from different carriers and finding the best possible deal for the company. (By using contracted freight forwarders)

Expedite shipments by working with supplier and carriers to ensure that they are delivered on time and in good condition.

Track shipments to ensure that they are moving according to plan and that there are no delays or issues.

Resolve any issues that may arise with shipments, such as delays, damage, or missing items.

Coordinate with Different 3PL service providers in freight and custom clearance.

Contact international suppliers to ensure proper documentations is provided for any incoming shipment.

Oversee logistics activities in his relevant segment and ensure, physical and information flow are following the shortest path.

Ensure timely payment for different service providers.

Archiving of all logistics related filing.

Analyse distribution process and make appropriate improvement suggestions.

Keep track of service level record of logistics suppliers in his stream.

Update and share daily/weekly/monthly dashboard reports to the management.

Strong negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience with supply chain management software.

Education Certificate:

Bachelor's Degree
