Role Description
The Technical Office Manager is responsible for leading and managing all technical office functions, ensuring the accurate preparation, review, and coordination of engineering drawings, quantity surveying documents, material submittals, and technical documentation. The role ensures full alignment between design, tendering, and project execution stages while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Lead and manage the Technical Office team including engineers and draftsmen.
Review and approve architectural shop drawings and coordinated engineering drawings.
Ensure full coordination between Architectural, Civil, and MEP disciplines.
Resolve technical conflicts and design discrepancies across project documents.
Oversee the issuance and proper distribution of approved drawings.
Oversee preparation and verification of BOQ, BOM, and quantity surveying reports.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
Supervise document control procedures and drawing logs.
Ensure preparation of as-built drawings in accordance with project handover requirements.
Review and approve material submittals prior to consultant submission.
Ensure all materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with consultants for technical approvals and clarifications.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Provide technical guidance to project managers and site execution teams.
Monitor subcontractors technical submittals and work progress.
Review subcontractor invoices based on certified executed quantities.
Manage RFIs, technical queries, and consultant communications.
Review tender documents, drawings, and project specifications.
Participate in project planning, technical studies, and feasibility assessments.
Ensure readiness of complete coordinated technical packages for project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
610 years of experience in Technical Office and Engineering Coordination.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Strong background in construction, finishing, and fit-out projects.
Portfolio is required with the CV.
