Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Translator, based in Riyadh. The Translator will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content between specified languages while ensuring cultural nuances and context are preserved. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and proofreading translated materials, collaborating with different teams to understand specific translation needs, and maintaining accuracy and consistency in terminology. The role requires a strong aptitude for cross-cultural communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in written and verbal translation between the required languages
• Editing and proofreading skills with attention to grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances
• Strong research skills to ensure accurate translations and appropriate context
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in using translation tools and software
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred
• Familiarity with industry-specific terms and contexts related to manufacturing would be a plus

Demonstrate full command of Arms, Ammunition, and Defense terminology to ensure the precise transfer of technical and military information.

• Translate ballistic data sheets, munitions specifications, and advanced military manufacturing standards.

Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years of solid professional experience in translation (preferably within the industrial, military, or legal sectors).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or English Literature.
• Linguistic Excellence: Native-level fluency in both Arabic and English with an exceptional command of grammar, syntax, and technical terminology.
• Tools: Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Soft Skills: Extreme attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and high ethical standards regarding confidentiality.
