Purpose of Job:
1. Assist in all operations with overall responsibilities for safety, quality, inventory management in GAR VPC.
2. Coordinate Vehicles inspection, yard management, ship-out control & production, proactively identify, analyze and assist in resolving problems or issues that may arise with customers, clients or employees.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
a. Coordinate facility activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the facility objectives are met.
b. Contribute and control profits, plans and budget.
c. Comply with cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
d. Control and minimize labor overtime, and repair expenses.
e. Establish and monitor overall facility performance and KPI.
f. Maintain existing equipment, replace or make adjustments to equipment when necessary.
g. Provide Leadership to field worker and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
h. Incorporates shop and facility organization and cleanliness among personnel.
i. Coordinate direction, development and leadership to supervisors.
j. Contribute and maintain manufacturing operations & business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs.
k. Provides input to the development of product strategy, research, & development of new and emerging products.
l. Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
m. Contribute to guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
n. Keep and maintain all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
o. Support manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
p. Check production and operating reports and devise the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
q. Coordinate with responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
Work Environment:
Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
Requirements:
a. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
b. Licenses/Certificates: A driver's license issued by Saudi Arabia without restrictions.
c. Physical/Experience:
1) Working knowledge of budgets, wage to revenue and financial statements.
2) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
3) Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
4) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
5) Ability to work weekends and/or Holidays, be on call and respond to calls during non-work hours.
6) Proven collaboration experience.
7) Effective verbal and written communication skills.
8) Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
9) Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length(Vehicle vin no.).
10) Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
11) Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.
3) Ability to balance & achieve positive results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and employee relations.
4) Experience in vehicle logistics is preferred.
d.Skills:
1) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
2) Ability to write routine reports and documents. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
