Job Title: Sr. Interior Designer / Technical Design Reviewer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly meticulous and technically skilled Sr. Interior Designer / Technical Design Reviewer to oversee and review the design packages prior submission. This role is vital in ensuring our drawings and documentation meet the highest industry standards, local regulations, and project requirements before submission to clients, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural and interior design drawings for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), Civil Defense, and other relevant UAE authorities.
- Implement and maintain a robust QA/QC process across all stages of design and documentation.
- Cross-check detailed drawings against design intent and technical standards, ensuring constructability and alignment with client expectations.
- Coordinate with interior designers, technical drafters, project managers, Architecture, Structure and MEP to ensure seamless documentation.
- Develop internal QA/QC checklists, drawing review procedures, and submission protocols.
- Highlight technical issues early and propose practical solutions to avoid rework and delays.
- Ensure drawing sets are compliant with local codes including fire & life safety, accessibility, sustainability (if LEED applicable), and fit-out standards.
- Manage drawing reviews and approvals before issuing to clients.
- Conduct internal audits of project documentation and maintain clear records of all QA/QC activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff on drawing standards and QA/QC best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical QA/QC role within the interior design industry.
- Working knowledge of Dubai building regulations.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCad and Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM workflows is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of joinery & construction detailing, materials, and coordination of multi-disciplinary drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous experience working on hospitality, high-end residential and commercial residential interior design projects in the UAE.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
