Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Team Leader with a strong technical background in mechanical design. The ideal candidate will lead the team technically, review design calculations, and ensure high-quality project delivery. This role requires solid engineering knowledge beyond just Revit skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the mechanical design team on technical aspects
- Review and validate design calculations (HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing)
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and design deliverables
- Ensure compliance with international codes and project requirements
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Architecture, Structure, Electrical)
- Support team members in solving complex technical issues
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain quality standards across all deliverables
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 10–13 years of experience in mechanical design
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems
- Good command of design codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
- Good proficiency in Revit (not necessarily expert)
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in BIM coordination
- Experience working on large-scale projects
- Familiarity with local codes and authority requirements
