Job Purpose: A Senior Interior Designer will lead design projects from concept through to completion.
To collaborate with our design, CAD, and visualization teams while managing client presentations, materials selection, and execution details. This role requires strong creativity and technical knowledge skills.
Job Responsibilities:
The following detailed tasks, duties and responsibilities, although expected to be implemented and managed by the Senior Interior Architect, should be coordinated with DSA's line management and regional management. The Senior Interior Design Architect must work closely with their immediate supervisor and line manager to identify and obtain the required resources/ support to fulfill all required interior design duties.
- Lead concept design, space planning, and mood board development.
- Develop concept designs, layouts, and space planning
- Able to prepare high-quality presentations including renderings, mood boards, and 3D visuals
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of project budgets and timelines.
- Able to liaise with consultants, and sub-consultants to ensure compliance and project-specific requirements.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with investment and feasibility targets.
- Prepare and oversee design documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate and oversee the in-house team, including designers, visualizers, drafters, and FF&E specialists.
- Strong understanding in technical drawings and has keen eye on details
- Ability to use BIM and REVIT.
- Review and validate design submissions to maintain quality, efficiency, and market competitiveness.
- Manage client meetings, presentations, and design approvals.
- Guide and mentor junior/intermediate designers for career developments.
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure projects are delivered with quality, precision, and creativity.
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in interior design/ Architecture or equivalent.
- 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in Dubai or the GCC.
- Strong project portfolio on hospitality and residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Suite.
- Excellent design sense, detailing skills, and FF&E knowledge.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
